Create Wifi Hotspot In Windows 7 or 8 Using CMD


What is Hotspot?

The hotspot is a site which offers to access internet over a wireless local area network (WLAN) by the use of a router...

You know we can,t create a wifi router in Windows 8 without command.
So, Now I am telling you how to create a Wifi Hotspot in Windows 7 or 8...




How To Create?

1. First open your CMD as Administrator mode.

2. Now paste the bellow code in CMD to see your drivers details.

netsh wlan show drivers


3. Now you have to create the Hotspot and set a password for security.So just copy the bellow the code and paste it in the opened CMD.

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=ENGINEER key=4uengineer

 Here ssid is your wifi name and key is your password. So you can change it and give your own Wifi name and password.


4. Now you have to start the wifi hotspot. So just copy the bellow the code and paste it in the opened CMD.

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Now your wifi router is started successfully.

5. Now you have to open Network and Sharing center.
         So go through this path: Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Network and Sharing Center

6. Next you have to click on the first Connection name which is connected with the another internet connection. It may be LAN or a Wi-Fi. Then you will see a dialog box will open like the bellow image.


7. Now click on Properties option of the dialog box.


8. After that you will see a new pop up window will open. After that click on Sharing button. Then tick on Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet Connection and then click on OK.


9. Now you can connect your Mobile, others Laptop etc.

10. If you want to stop your wifi hotspot, then again open your CMD as Administrator mode and paste the bellow code in CMD.

netsh wlan stop hostednetwork


 Now your wifi hotspot is stopped successfully...

  1. i have done the, but i got stuck aftr step 5...
    it is showing " the posted network couldn't be started. The group or resources is not in the correct state to perform operation."

    pls help
