Blogspot is continuously improving by Blogger’s developers. In Blogger's new interface Blogger’s developers added many new interesting features to make it more SEO friendly to drive quite decent traffic from search engines. In the new features introduced by Blogspot Custom Robots.txt tags is quite interesting and handy tool.
Custom Robots.txt tag works same as Custom Robots Header tag to inform the search engines about our blog's crawling area. Mainly the Custom Robots.txt is used to select which portion of our blog should be indexed and protected from the search engine's indexing. But you have to add Custom Robots.txt very carefully,Because if you add incorrectly your blog may be ignored by search engines. So now I am sharing how to add Custom Robots.txt tags in Blogger...
How to do?
2. Now see there is Custom Robots .txt. Now you have to Enable Custom Robots.txt content. Now in Custom Robots .txt tags area click on Edit.
3. Now first enable Custom Robots .txt tags select Yes.
4. After clicking on Yes link a box will appear in which you have to paste the bellow code just like the below image.
User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
Disallow:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Allow: /
Sitemap: http://4uengineer.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED
5. Now you have to replace 4uengineer with your blog name. Now click on Save changes.
6. Now you are done.
